With a declining economy and lack of funding for training for treatment professionals, Addiction Solutions is dedicated to providing new technology and evidence-based training at reasonable cost and are committed to workforce competence in addictions, criminal justice and co-occurring services.
With over 25 years in the field of addiction and criminal justice, our trainer brings a multitude of experiences and skills that provide professionals with trainings that are new, evidence-based and on the leading edge of science and technology. By providing training and consulting on a national and international basis, our trainer also has the ability to observe and learn from all parts of the world and bring those topics and training opportunities back to treatment professionals.

CEO Bio:
Donna Johnson, JD, CAS, ICADC II, ICCJP, ICCDP, LADC, DCC
Donna received her undergraduate degree from Middle Tennessee State University in Criminal Justice Administration and Sociology with a minor in Psychology. She attended Nashville Law School and completed coursework at Harvard University and Harvard Medical School of Addiction Studies. She has also been trained by the Matrix Institute and the University of California Los Angeles on the Matrix Model of Treatment and provides specialized treatment for those with methamphetamine addiction.
She is one of only five trainers worldwide authorized to train in the Matrix Model. She is a nationally and internationally recognized speaker and trainer in the areas of addiction, criminal justice, methamphetamine, co-occurring disorders and drug courts.
She is a Certified Addiction Specialist with the American Academy of Healthcare Providers in Addictive Disorders, Internationally Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Internationally Certified Criminal Justice Addiction Professional, Certified Co-Occurring Disorder Professional and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with the International Consortium of Addiction and Prevention Credentialing Boards.
Donna has over 25 years experience in the field of addiction and criminal justice. She has worked for the Tennessee Department of Corrections, Tennessee Board of Pardons and Paroles, Tennessee District Attorney General and worked 17 years for a 35 million dollar community public provider in Georgia, holding positions as Director of Substance Abuse Services and Deputy Director of Behavioral Health. She has a strong background in working with recovery communities, persons and families in recovery, substance abuse and mental health advocacy groups, corrections, criminal justice and law enforcement agencies and state and national political leaders. She also served on the Governor’s Advisory Council for Mental Health and Addiction. She was also invited to attend the First Annual White House Conference on Mental Health and made recommendations to the White House and other national organizations in the areas of addiction and mental health.
She is currently CEO for Addiction Solutions of Georgia, Inc., a company specializing in addiction, forensic addictions, co-occurring disorders, and methamphetamines for adults and adolescents. She also contracts with numerous drug courts and other agencies nationally and internationally for consultation and training. She is also a consultant and trainer for the Matrix Institute on Addiction and a wide variety of topics in the addictions field. She has training contracts with numerous state agencies and universities across the nation and other countries.
Donna is also serving as Chairperson for the Certified Criminal Justice Addiction Professional Committee for International Consortium of Addiction and Prevention Credentialing Boards.
She works with national and international leaders in the fields of addiction and criminal justice to improve credentialing processes within the forensic addiction fields.
She was also given the President’s Award by the International Consortium of Addiction and Prevention Credentialing Boards for service in the addiction field.
